Freedom of Speech is one of our Constitutional Rights unless...

Why in the world would President Obama, General Petraeus and several elected officials expect Americans to sacrifice one of our most important principles, one of our most important rights, to appease the people of the Islamic world? Those are the people who want to strip us of our Right of Free Speech, among many other rights that offend them.

Are they not the last people on the planet we should appease? If our own leaders are asking Americans to forego their Right to Free Speech, have they not themselves become enemies of America?

Asking Americans to relinquish the Right of Free Speech is asking Americans to submit to an authority that demands to stand above our Constitution. For Americans, that is IMPOSSIBLE.

Beginning in the 1960s, American protesters opposed to the Vietnam War burned American flags. Flag-burning created plenty of controversy -- but led to no deaths. Instead, burning the US flag led to a Supreme Court case. The justices decided the Constitution permitted the burning of the US flag.

Burning the US flag sometimes occurs in other nations, most notably Islamic nations. However, no American has ever believed that anti-American speech in other countries should be met with murder or violence here at home. Or anywhere else. As 1,400 years of Islamic history proves, muslims will NEVER accept Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion or any other freedoms and rights granted to Americans by our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

"Free Speech Is A Great Idea, But ..."

03 Apr 2011

Harry Reid's comment that "we'll look into" the despicable Christianism of Terry Jones unnerved me. Butters unnerved me some more:

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Congress might need to explore the need to limit some forms of freedom of speech, in light of Tennessee pastor Terry Jones’ Quran burning, and how such actions result in enabling U.S. enemies.

"I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we're in a war," Graham told CBS' Bob Schieffer on “Face the Nation” Sunday.

And there you have a classic example of how warfare abroad can curtail liberties at home. Koran burning is obviously a disgusting act of disrespect and incivility. But that very kind of act is what the First Amendment is designed to protect. And we should also remember that this war has no end, and that therefore the liberties taken away by wartime are permanently taken away.

You say Mow-hammed, I say Moo-hammed, A Terrorist Either Way

Any way you pronounce the name of the schizophrenic nut who founded Islam, he perpetrated a hoax upon billions of gullible followers that has done more to retard human development than any disease or war.

'Muhammad' now a dirty word on 'South Park'
Now "South Park" can't even say the words "Prophet Muhammad."

After last week's episode of the Comedy Central series sparked a threat (and yes, it was certainly a threat) from a radical Islamic website, the network has cracked-down-for-their-own-good on creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone during last night's continuation of the show's storyline.

For those who missed the drama, the show's 200th episode last week mocked the one "celebrity" that the series has been largely unable to depict, the Prophet Muhammad, who was hidden from view in a bear costume. A U.S.-based website RevolutionMuslim.com then warned Parker and Stone they could end up like Theo Van Gogh (the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered by Muslim extremists after depicting Muhammad on his show) and even posted the address of the show's production office. The site has since been shut down.

Last night, "South Park" continued the controversial Muhammad storyline, but with a key difference: every instance of the words "Prophet Muhammad" was bleeped out, making the episode practically incomprehensible, especially to anybody who missed the previous week.

The character of Muhammad was once again also hidden from view, covered by a large block labeled "censored."

A Comedy Central spokesperson confirmed it was the network's decision to bleep the words.

The Muhammad content is also not available on the South Park Studios website.

A message on the site states: "We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show. We will bring you a version of [episode] 201 as soon as we can."

Ironically, "South Park" apparently shows an image of the Prophet Muhammad briefly in its opening credits that has gone largely unnoticed.

UPDATE: Parker and Stone comment on "South Park" censorship:

In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

Mocking Muhammad -- Good for Ratings

Is there any person or group that South Park has spared? Tom Cruise and the Scientologists went ballistic over their treatment by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The Pope? And now the wackos and screwballs who call themselves muslims claim they are on a bloody rampage to relieve the world of the South Park creators. Or maybe those two funny guys created the Revolution Muslim website menace for their own publicity purposes. Probably not. I hope South Park skewers Islam again, and gets enough of a rise out of Islamic fundamentalists that Obama feels compelled to speak out. To, you know, save someone from having his head cut off.

'South Park' Creators Could Face Retribution for Depicting Muhammad, Website Warns

- FOXNews.com

A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.

RevolutionMuslim.com posted a warning following the 200th episode of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's "South Park," which included a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad disguised in a bear suit.

A radical Islamic website is warning the creators of "South Park" that they could face violent retribution for depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit during an episode broadcast on Comedy Central last week.

RevolutionMuslim.com posted the warning following the 200th episode of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's "South Park," which included a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad disguised in a bear suit. The Web posting also included a graphic photo of Theo van Gogh, a Dutch filmmaker who was murdered in 2004 after making a documentary on violence against Muslim women.

"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show," the posting reads. "This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Reaching by phone early Tuesday, Abu Talhah al Amrikee, the author of the post, said he wrote the entry to "raise awareness." He said the grisly photograph of van Gogh was meant to "explain the severity" of what Parker and Stone did by mocking Muhammad.

"It's not a threat, but it really is a likely outcome," al Amrikee said, referring to the possibility that Parker and Stone could be murdered for mocking Muhammad. "They're going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims. It's just the reality."

Al Amrikee said the website is considering a protest against the "disgusting" show, which also depicted the Prophet Muhammad in an episode on July 4, 2001.

"This is not a small thing," he said. "We should do whatever we can to make sure it does not happen again."

The posting on RevolutionMuslim.com also includes audio of a sermon by Anwar al-Awlaki -- a radical U.S.-born preacher now believed to be hiding in Yemen -- who discusses assassinating individuals who defame the Prophet Muhammad. It also included a link to a 2009 story in the Huffington Post that gave details of Stone and Parker's mansion in Colorado.

A Comedy Central spokesman told FoxNews.com that the network has no comment on the posting.

Mu-slime Logic

If the leader of a muslim nation believes, or says he believes, the US version of the 9/11 terrorist attack is fiction, then he is either dangerously ignorant or dangerously deceitful.

In this case, it more likely that Ahmadinejad is dangerously deceitful -- from our perspective. In muslim culture, the concept of lying is very different from the Western concept. From the Islamic perspective, a story that is factually false may be accepted as truth if it offers thoughts that are presented to form a greater truth. An excellent example is the Koran, which, like the Old Testament and the New Testament of the Bible, is fiction. But it is received by almost every muslim on the planet as a collection of incontestable facts.

Iran's Ahmadinejad: Sept. 11 attacks a 'big lie'

By ALI AKBAR DAREINI, Associated Press Writer Ali Akbar Dareini – Sat Mar 6, 2010

TEHRAN, Iran – Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks a "big lie" used by the U.S. as an excuse for the war on terror, state media reported.

Ahmadinejad's comments, made during an address to Intelligence Ministry staff, come amid escalating tensions between the West and Tehran over its disputed nuclear program. They show that Iran has no intention of toning itself down even with tighter sanctions looming because of its refusal to halt uranium enrichment.

"September 11 was a big lie and a pretext for the war on terror and a prelude to invading Afghanistan," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by state TV. He called the attacks a "complicated intelligence scenario and act."

The Iranian president has questioned the official U.S. version of the Sept. 11 attacks before, but this is the first time he ventured to label it a "big lie."

In 2007, New York officials rejected Ahmadinejad's request to visit the World Trade Center site while he was in the city for a U.N. meeting. The president also sparked an uproar when he said during a lecture in New York that the causes and conditions that led to the attacks, as well as who orchestrated them, still need to be examined.

At the time, he also told Iranian state TV the attacks were "a result of mismanaging and inhumane managing of the world by the U.S," and that Washington was using Sept. 11 as an excuse to attack others.

He has also questioned the Sept. 11 death toll of around 3,000, claiming the Americans never published the victims' names.

Every year on the anniversary of the attacks, the names of 2,750 victims killed in New York are read aloud at a memorial ceremony.

Tracking Terrorist Packages

UPS and FedEx have great systems for tracking packages. Those parcels might be in the air, on the ground, at the start of their journey, or at the end. But both companies know the status and location of virtually every item they handle. The same can be done for human cargo.

Meanwhile, what percentage of airline tickets are purchased with cash? Maybe it is time to prohibit cash purchases. The New York City subway system will not take bills larger than $20. Maybe people who want to buy airline tickets with cash should be photographed and subjected to an on-the-spot background check. In the US, instant background checks are used by gun sellers. Sellers at gun shows are expected to use the instant checks. Why not create something similar for those with a sudden need to fly to the US without luggage?

Terrorism Report Cites Human Errors, Lack of Tracking System

Jan. 7 -- A combination of human errors and lack of a system to track leads contributed to the U.S. failure to block a man from trying to bomb an airliner on Christmas Day, according to a review ordered by President Barack Obama.

“There was not a comprehensive or functioning process for tracking terrorist threat reporting and actions taken” that would hold agencies “accountable for running down all leads associated with high-visibility and high-priority plotting efforts,” said the report released today.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a 23-year-old Nigerian man, has been indicted on charges of trying to destroy a Northwest Airlines plane carrying 290 people as it approached Detroit on Dec. 25. The plot was foiled when the explosives he was carrying failed to ignite and passengers and crew aboard the flight subdued the suspect.

Abdulmutallab’s name had been in a federal database of individuals with possible extremist ties.

The government today released a declassified version of the review Obama ordered of intelligence and security procedures following the incident.
